Overview of Ideal Seating Position and the Physics of Seating 
  •   Why is neutral seating important?
  •   What does neutral look like?
  •   The role of the pelvis in neutral seating, etc.

Identification of Common Orthopedic Deformities 
  • Prior to discussing seating, cushions, accessories, an understanding of asymmetries is beneficial, including identification,               assessment and equipment selection as a result of presentation
  • Flexible (Correctible) vs Fixed (non-correctable)
    • ​​Pelvic Tilt
      • Identification, assessment and intervention for posterior pelvic tilt, anterior pelvic tilt
    • Pelvic Obliquity
      • Identification, assessment and intervention for kyphosis

Performing the Equipment Assessment
  • Consideration: What does my client/resident/patient need and how do I make the final selection? 
    • Assessing the home environment, transportation, performance of the physical assessment, etc.
Obtainment of Anthropometric Measurements in Anticipation of Ordering Equipment or Troubleshooting
  • Hands on lab, performing key measurements to ensure proper equipment
    • Focus on common measurements which are misread or used inaccurately
    • ​​Correlate the measurements being taken with the equipment to be implemented

Quick Overview of the Benefits of Pressure Mapping and Understanding Pelvic Neutrality
  • Gain insight into the pelvis, and closely investigate the need for pelvic stability and neutralization
